bullet Biography:
Chief Technology Officer John May is the driving force behind Fx-CTO's services.  May recently directed all aspects of engineering (software, hardware, network, and test) for Vocalocity, a hosted iPBX provider.
He also served as CTO and founder of Recordant, Inc.   A software and hardware company that provided tools to perform voice data capture and analytics.   Drawing upon his world-class technology experience, May managed a team of developers who were responsible for developing and evolving the hardware and software that defines Recordant's first mover advantage.   Presented the concept to investors, raising both A and B rounds of funding, hired a CEO, and served on the Board of Directors.
May's career path is ripe with both leadership and software engineering experience.  He served as chief technology officer of Witness Systems, a publically held Fortune 500 company, taking them from one product to four major product lines, averaging two launches per quarter.
At Cray Research, May was named president and CEO of a CAD-related subsidiary, Circuit Tools, Inc. that was sold to Intergraph Corporation and today is a part of Mentor Graphics.   He also later served as the general manager of an Intergraph division that developed design tools for the electronics industry.
Earlier in his career, May served in various management roles with start-ups in both Silicon Valley and Atlanta.   Experience includes directing the software development for the launch and its first years of operation.   May also worked as a turnaround consultant for software projects at both Apple Computer and Lucas Films' Industrial Light and Magic.
May has published several technical books and articles, and  continues to be a noted authority in the field of computer  programming.  He also taught computer programming  at the University of California, Berkeley.
